Delete it in the app
- Open the Strawboss app and go to Settings.
- Under Account & Legal, tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your personal details are removed as described below and every phone signed in to that account is signed out.
You need to be signed in on the phone to do this. If you cannot sign in, use one of the paths below.
Who can delete an account
The Strawboss app is for workers whose employer uses Strawboss. The administrator creates each worker in the desktop app at app.strawboss.ai and pays for that seat. You can delete your own account in the app, and the administrator can deactivate or remove it from the desktop app. Nothing is purchased inside the app, so there are no subscriptions or purchases of your own to cancel.
If you cannot use the app or reach your organization
If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, and you have left the company or no longer have a contact there, email [email protected] from the email address on your Strawboss account. Include your name and the organization. Do not include passwords, verification codes or incident details. We verify the request with you and with the organization's administrator, then act on it within 30 days and confirm by email.
What is removed
When an account is removed, your name, contact details, login, device sessions, push-notification registration and profile picture are deleted or de-identified, and every phone signed in to that account is signed out.
Filed workplace safety and training records belong to the subscribing organization and may need to be retained for occupational health and safety, employment, audit, insurance or legal obligations. Removing your account does not erase historical safety evidence. Retained records may still include your name, signatures and other details recorded when you submitted them. Files you uploaded to My Files stay in the organization's workspace unless you deleted them in the app first or the administrator removes them. Backups and security logs expire on their normal protected retention schedule.
Clearing your phone
Signing out of the app, or uninstalling it, removes your local copy of assigned content, drafts, downloads and conversations from the phone. Work that has not yet reached your employer may remain on the phone after sign-out so that it is not lost; uninstalling removes it. Photos you chose to save to your phone's photo library are governed by your device and are not removed by Strawboss.
